Calvin Trillin: Prophet
Calvin Trillin is a funny guy, but he's also prophetic. In a typically snarky column about "The New Right" in 1978, he wrote that the last "New Right" was in 1961, and he expected the next one in 1994, thus predicting Newt Gingrich's Republican Revolution 16 years before it occured.

Toddler Fooz!
Here's fun game you can try at home. All you need is
1. A kid between 20-40 pounds
2. A soccer ball
3. A couple of other parents and their kids
Pick your kid up by the armpits and swing them so that their feet kick a soccer ball past the other dads* with their kids.
It's a good time, and a good work out!
* I'm sure there are moms who would be into this too, but my experience this morning after hoisting my daughter up and shouting "Todder Foosball!" is that two other dads immediately grabbed their kids and ran for the field, while the moms kind of looked at us askance. ¶ 7:56 PM 0 comments
